While some may claim that
yarn bombing has
jumped the shark when internet searches start turning up images of
tanks and
city buses covered in colorful knitwear, this little example I found the other day in Southeast Portland still brought a smile to my face.
I mean, some knitter saw this lonely, cold, industrial-looking bike rack and thought, "Hey, I've got some yarn that would perk up that little rack." So, yes, the big,
über art projects can continue to hog the spotlight, but give me the small, random ones that pop up as I go about my day. Sweet!
