The thing about the weather on Oregon's coast in winter is this: you just never know. Yesterday the drive over was drizzly, and that night the roof of the 90-plus-year-old house I stayed in was hammering with the rain from a big storm front. This morning I woke up to this. By noon the thermometer read 50° in the sun, though it was a few degrees chillier on the beach with the wind from the northeast. Did the dogs mind? Did I? Not at all!
