Stuff I Don't Know
As a blogger, I'm supposed to be all about flinging my half-baked opinions hither and yon whether anyone wants to read them or not. But since you'd call me out immediately if I tried that kind of crap, I'm going to admit here and now that there's a ton of stuff I know nothing about. The evidence is in the calendar listings on the left.
Normally I don't flog the calendar here at GSNW, but I just uploaded nearly 100 events and classes that'll take us through 2010, filling it with things to learn, to listen to and to experience. From planning next year's garden to preserving the vegetables and fruits we harvest from it, there is a plethora of talented folk just waiting to teach us about cheese, beer, organic gardening, healthy eating and living, growing fruit trees and just about anything else.
People like Grand Central Baking's Laura Ohm, Josh Volk of Slow Hand Farm, chicken and organic gardening maven Naomi Montacre and chef and cookbook author Ivy Manning. The list goes on and on. I'll be updating the calendar as new classes and events are scheduled, but you can also check the Urban Growth Bounty listings sponsored by the City of Portland Bureau of Planning and Sustainability. It's going to be a busy year!
Thanks Kathleen for the mention. We are thrilled to offer classes with a great list of local experts like Ivy Manning, David Beller and Oregon Tilth.
