What a glorious scene. As we do not have a TV, I thought i would never be able to see this wonderful moment for myself. This is truly "Good Stuff", but this time, its food for the soul. How great Pete Seeger looks; so joyous, so full of faith.
What a day that was -- I was lucky to be there for that memorable concert. As much as we were enjoying the festivities, my husband and kept remarking to each other,"wouldn't it be perfect if they brought out Pete?" And then they did. Well, I have to tell you, being there in front of the Lincoln Memorial, arms entwined with my family, singing our hearts out with Pete and half a million other like-minded friends.....it just couldn't have been any better. Quite a moment for me.
