Beach Retreat
After the holidays is a wonderful time to get away, recoup and reflect on the year just passing and the year to come. One amazing day the skies were clear and blue, the temperature was near 60° and no wind was blowing.
Friends had built a beachhouse and condo at the north end of Netarts several years ago and had a vacancy after Christmas, so we jumped at it. Great contemporary places with sweeping views of Netarts Bay and the ocean, they all had well-equipped kitchens and were perfect for bird- and ocean-watching when the weather (inevitably) closed in.
Details: See Garner's Getaway, Hardy's Hideaway and, the place we stayed, Here's Waldo, under "Photos of Cabins" on the Happy Camp Hideaway website.
